Terms of Service

Last updated: June 19, 2026

Applies to: https://priderecruit.org ("PrideRecruit", "we", "us", "our")

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PrideRecruit, a recruiting-management platform for high-school field hockey student-athletes. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Who Can Use PrideRecruit

PrideRecruit is intended for high-school student-athletes and the parents, guardians, and coaches who support them. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

2. Your Account

3. Connecting Third-Party Accounts (Google)

Some features let you connect your Google account (Gmail and Google Calendar). When you connect, you authorize us to access that data solely to provide the features described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's own terms. You can disconnect at any time, and you can revoke our access directly through your Google Account settings.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

You are solely responsible for the content of emails you compose and send through the platform.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing and plan details are shown on our pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. AI-Generated Content & No Guarantees

PrideRecruit uses AI to classify and summarize recruiting emails and to provide suggestions. These outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are provided for informational purposes only. They are not professional, legal, athletic-eligibility, or admissions advice. You are responsible for verifying important information and for your own recruiting decisions. We do not guarantee any recruiting outcome.

7. Intellectual Property

The service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data), is owned by PrideRecruit and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the content and data you provide; you grant us the rights needed to operate the service for you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrideRecruit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or recruiting opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide more prominent notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
